Sponsor a Child!

Toys & Tales is a new and extraordinary charity organization committed to providing assistance to Title 1 elementary schools throughout the nation. As our name suggests, our mission is to supply every child within a sponsored school with a Holiday season gift consisting of a toy and a book. The dual constitution of these gifts is important. In order to satisfy our aim of helping the schools themselves and to emphasize the reciprocal nature of the "Holiday" spirit, the children have the opportunity to offer their book as a donation to their school's learning center. A Toys & Tales' plaque on the inside cover of each book commemorates the children's donation.

We are excited to offer this web application as a rather unique method by which the Toys & Tales program is coordinated and through which the sponsorship process will be directed. Automated email, timelines and explicit instructional pages will make sponsorship an unambiguous and rewarding experience for members of your university community.

The Duke University Affiliate of Toys & Tales' is excited to again share this experience with the staff and children of Eastway Elementary School. Last year, sponsors from within the Duke community warmed the hearts of over 470 elementary school students. This year, our task has expanded to over 570 students.
